The prestigious Hillary Medal is awarded to Julia in recognition of her achievements as Sir Edmund Hillary Scholar.

Julia has been accepted, among 21 other top young NZ singers, to attend the New Zealand Opera School held annually in Wanganui.

Julia is named the Wallace Corporation's Creative and Performing Arts Person of the Year at the University of Waikato Blues Awards.

Julia sings the Canadian National Anthem for the All Blacks vs. Canada rugby test at Waikato Stadium.

April 27, 2007
Julia wins the inaugural Aria competition at the University of Waikato singing Gounod's Jewel Song from Faust and Massenet's "Il est doux, il est bon" from Herodiade.

Julia is named a Sir Edmund Hillary Scholar. The prestigious scholarship is awarded yearly to recognize "multi-talented individuals" and to help them "achieve their all-round aspirations."
