A passionate singer with a "world class" voice (Daily Post), Julia was a Price Waterhouse Coopers Dame Malvina Major Emerging Artist, and winner of the NZ Aria Competition.  A "stunning soprano" (Next Magazine) this Kiwi-Canadian is critically acclaimed for her performances across opera and musical theatre.

An unusual combination of violin, piano, and ukulele is what began Julia Booth's musical journey however it is the voice that has emerged clearly as her instrument of choice and profession. A Sir Edmund Hillary Scholar, Julia completed a Master of Music at the University of Waikato where she was awarded the Wallace Corporation's Performer of the Year Blues Award and Hillary Medal. Julia has received support from the Dame Malvina Major Foundation both as an Emerging Artist with NZ Opera and as the winner of NZ Aria.
